PSA grading: specific service terms
Service terms version: 2026-09-28-v3.
Scope and priority: This section applies specifically to PSA grading services and the customer-owned cards entrusted for those services. Where a general retail provision above conflicts with this section, this section governs the PSA service only. The general rules for ordinary retail purchases remain unchanged. Mandatory consumer rights always apply.
PSA service provider: Cards Hub S.r.l., Via Giacomo Matteotti 4, 42122 Reggio Emilia (RE), Italy. VAT ID: IT03130470358. Certified email (PEC): cardshub@pec.it. Statutory contact and privacy rights remain as stated in the general policy.
1. Service, card ownership and special requests
Cards Hub is an independent submission intermediary using its own PSA account, not an official PSA dealer. PSA independently assesses eligibility, authenticity, grades and encapsulation. No grade, acceptance, resale value or completion date is guaranteed. Your cards remain your property. Standard online submissions are for eligible raw cards in supported formats. Crossover, slabbed cards, estimated graded values above EUR 2,200 per card and other non-standard services require a personalised agreement through the dedicated grading form before purchase.
2. Details, values, prices and payment
Enter a separate record for each physical card: name, year, set, number, language, variant/serial/autograph details where applicable, declared value, service and preparation choice. You confirm ownership or authority and accurate details. Declared value is a reasonable estimate of post-grading market value, not a guaranteed price or compensation; do not understate it to select a lower tier. Standard supports values up to EUR 900, Priority EUR 1,300, Express EUR 2,200 per card, subject to PSA eligibility.
Card-only prices including VAT: Standard Launch Offer EUR 65 (ordinary EUR 75), Priority Launch Offer EUR 85 (ordinary EUR 95), Express EUR 229.95. Dual fixed prices: Standard EUR 95, Priority EUR 125, Express EUR 299.95. Payment is due through Shopify checkout before submission. The selected checkout price governs the order. Later list-price changes do not automatically increase paid orders. Grading includes administration, batch packaging, Cards Hub→PSA transport by FedEx Express and insured PSA→Cards Hub return. Individual preparation, customer inbound/final return transport, optional outbound insurance and optional final-return protection are separate.
PSA may reassess value or eligibility. Our staff records PSA’s reason and requested amount, then sends you the proposed change, price, applicable terms and a separate payment link tied to your submission. You accept the disclosed proposal by completing its payment. The initial service choices do not approve a later upcharge, and no amount is charged automatically. We confirm the accepted change to PSA only after your recorded decision; silence is not consent.
3. Preparation, intake and records
Each card must arrive in its own sleeve and suitable semi-rigid CardSaver unless Cards Hub preparation was purchased for that card. Preparation is optional, never preselected, and costs EUR 1.95 per selected card, including sleeve, CardSaver and labour. Ordinary administration and outer batch packaging remain included in grading. Keep the cards in list order, include the order/submission reference, and protect them with rigid outer support and cushioning. Do not attach tape, stickers or adhesive tabs to cards or holders; do not alter cards or open existing slabs under the standard instructions.
If cards do not meet these requirements and preparation was not purchased, Cards Hub cancels the non-compliant submission, records the received condition and refunds services not performed. We do not automatically add a preparation fee or generic cancellation penalty. Collection or return is arranged separately; a return journey actually used is itemised, and any new return charge must be disclosed and expressly accepted before payment.
On physical receipt we check identity, count, protection, visible condition, order details, payment and recorded consents. Necessary condition photographs and card/submission references document intake and return; these checks are not an authenticity or grade guarantee. If a card is unsuitable, we agree a supported alternative or resolve the order before submission. We do not publish card photos or results for marketing without separate authorisation.
4. Start and estimated processing
Preparation and submission handling start only after we physically receive your cards, verify payment and the required details, and the applicable 14-day withdrawal period from conclusion of the service contract has expired. You may separately request early performance using an optional, never-preselected checkbox; in that case authorised work may begin on physical receipt before that period ends. Physical receipt, payment, PSA registration and dispatch do not themselves waive withdrawal rights. No fixed dispatch cadence or dispatch deadline is promised.
PSA working-day estimates at launch: card-only Standard 80 to 90, Priority 70 to 80, Express 25 to 30; Dual Standard 90 to 100, Priority 80 to 90, Express 35 to 40. They start at the relevant PSA receipt/registration stage, exclude transit and Cards Hub handling, may change and are not guaranteed dates. We communicate actual confirmed events.
5. Insurance, additional protection and return
The optional outbound insurance in the configurator applies only to the Cards Hub→PSA journey, sent by FedEx Express, under the applicable documented cover. Select a band covering the combined declared submission value: EUR 100 / EUR 1.95; EUR 250 / EUR 4.95; EUR 500 / EUR 9.95; EUR 1,000 / EUR 19.95; EUR 1,500 / EUR 29.95; EUR 2,000 / EUR 39.95; EUR 2,500 / EUR 49.95. Above EUR 2,500, request a quote through the grading form. The outbound add-on does not cover customer→Cards Hub transport, store custody or final delivery to the customer. PSA→Cards Hub return transport is insured and included in the grading price. The declared value and a PSA service limit are not promises of unlimited compensation. Optional cover does not remove liability or mandatory remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
After grading and our return checks, choose in-store collection or delivery to the checkout address: DHL for Italy and FedEx for supported destinations outside Italy. The EUR 0 return-shipping product activates the destination rate at checkout; EUR 0 is not the delivery price. The charge is shown before payment and retail free-shipping thresholds do not apply. One return shipment is arranged per submission. If no service is offered for your destination, request a quote through the grading form before purchase. Checkout carrier dates refer to transit after the graded cards are ready and dispatched; they do not state when PSA grading will finish or when Cards Hub will dispatch the return.
Optional protection for delivery to you: select the return-protection request when configuring your submission. This records your interest only and adds no charge to the initial checkout. After the cards return from PSA, Cards Hub sends you the updated graded value proposed by our staff, the protection terms and a separate payment link. The price is 3% of the updated value agreed with you after grading, separate from delivery. If you selected the request, you do not need to contact us again to receive the proposal. You may accept, decline or ask for the proposed value to be reviewed through the PSA grading form. Cards Hub provides this additional protection directly. It activates only after your express acceptance of the proposal and payment, before dispatch; selecting the initial checkbox alone does not activate protection or authorise an automatic charge. If protection is not accepted and paid, the ordinary agreed return service applies with statutory and contractual rights unchanged. If you did not select the request initially, you may still ask through the grading form before dispatch.
We check returned cards/certificates before release. Report damage or discrepancies through the dedicated form as soon as reasonably possible and preserve packaging and photographs for investigation. These operational recommendations do not remove mandatory rights. The general website liability limits cannot exclude mandatory liability or remedies for this service. Your cards are not returned to retail stock after a pickup window.
6. Withdrawal
For eligible consumer distance contracts, you may withdraw without giving a reason within 14 calendar days from conclusion of the service contract. Use the dedicated PSA grading form, category cancellation/withdrawal, with the order reference and an unequivocal statement. Notices sent through other legally permitted means remain valid; neither a registered letter nor a duplicate notice is required.
After an express early-performance request, a withdrawal may give rise only to a proportionate amount for service actually supplied, and only if the information and other conditions required by law were satisfied. We provide an itemised reconciliation. The right is lost after full performance only with the prior express consent and acknowledgement required by law. Payment, physical receipt, entry into PSA systems or shipment to PSA do not alone remove it. If cards have already been sent, we check whether PSA work can be stopped and arrange return; we do not treat shipment as an automatic waiver.
The PSA-specific Refund Policy explains refunds, proportionate charges and return arrangements.
7. Communications and applicable version
For grading information, submission status, inbound tracking, changes, special-service quotes and return-protection requests, use only the dedicated PSA grading form, quoting your order and submission reference where available. Email, Instagram and other channels are not handled for ordinary grading assistance. This operational routing does not invalidate withdrawal notices or other unequivocal declarations sent by any means permitted by applicable law.
The Shopify order records card details, selected services, terms version and consents. The Privacy Policy describes those records. Later amendments do not retrospectively replace terms accepted for existing orders. Business customers may use the service where offered; consumer rights apply when their legal conditions are met. PSA Europe terms describe PSA processing and do not remove your mandatory rights against Cards Hub.
